Mark Twain, on hearing rumors of his demise, indeed said "The reports of my death are greatly exaggerated."
Like Mark Twain we, at MAC, have heard rumors that we have lost our lease and are no longer a
viable archery club. However we, unlike Mark Twain, only uttered a single collective "huh?" of
disbelief.
There has been a great deal of real estate development and speculation around Bonnieview Ln and
IH 20. The property on which MAC resides was sold but we were able to negotiate a lease. We
anticipate our relationship and lease with the new owners will continue.
MAC has just increased area of land available for shoots in effect doubling the size of the 3D
target area. In the near future we will be clearing and cutting lanes in the addition.
We will continue with our community service tradition, MAC will participate in the East Texas
Sport Fest in September. Please see the newsletter section for additional details.
Just as we provide community service we also host functions to benefit the local archery
community. For the rest of the summer, at the tuesday night shoots, MAC will host Hagerman
qualifiers. These qualifiers, comply with the requirements and are consistent with the schedule
established by the Hagerman refuge. Please see the newsletter section for additional details.
We have two remaining club shoots for the rest of the year, June 10th and our Charity shoot on
September 9th.
